our mission & vision

created by the local church, for the Local Church

Born in 2025, The Resource Hub was inspired by Life.Church’s Open Network Platform and was created to foster innovation, communication, and collaboration among churches of all sizes. While the site is geared toward smaller churches and churches with a history of Restoration Movement theology, we welcome all followers of Jesus to use and benefit from this site. The mission of The Church Resource Hub is to equip churches & leaders with the resources they need to lead their congregations and communities in becoming the W.O.R.D. Made Flesh. (Worshipful, Obedient, Relational, Disciple-makers).

how it works

Every resource, article, video, graphic, and asset is 100% free for any church to use. When we say “for free, forever” we really mean it. No strings attached. We’ll never require you to pay to access these materials. All of the resources provided on this site have been donated by local congregations across the country in the hopes of equipping the Local Church as they serve on the front lines. You and your church are more than welcome to use any of these resources, provided you don’t use them in any for-profit manner, claim them as your own intellectual property, or use them in any obscene or derogatory way. By downloading any asset, or clicking on any link found on this website, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. To learn more about the legal, click here.

the generation of tomorrow, leading today

From our GAP (Global Apprentice Program), to Downtown Singing, to our Student Internship Program; the Downtown Church is passionate about equipping and empowering the next generation to lead and serve with excellence no matter where life takes them. Each semester the Downtown Church hires a team of university students to help produce many of the resources you see on this site and support the site itself. From Web Development & AWS Application Management, to Graphic Design and Video Production, the ministry of The Church Resource Hub not only helps equip churches around the country, but also helps young adults gain valuable life skills and experience in their craft, all with a Kingdom mindset.

charting tomorrow’s path, today

In 2019, a study conducted by Tim Woodroof & Stan Granberg found that if the current trajectory of the churches of Christ remains unchanged, then by 2050, the churches of Christ could experience a decline in adherents of 80%. Woodroof & Granberg also concluded that if the current trajectory of the churches of Christ remains unchanged, then by 2050, approximately 9,500 churches of Christ could close their doors, forever.

With 55% of churches of Christ reporting an average attendance of 34 people, and with the average church size of 37 people (spanning across denominations), the need is imperative for high-quality resources that equip the churches to serve as spiritual outposts of the Gospel. By making as many resources free and open as possible, our hope is that we can equip and encourage churches to once again burn with passion for evangelism, therefore winning souls for the Kingdom.

more about the Downtown Church

The Downtown Church of Christ began meeting in 1909, under the oak trees of Searcy, Arkansas. Since then, the Downtown Congregation has grown in size, funding numerous mission efforts domestically & globally and hosting three Sunday worship services during the school year. Downtown is passionate about helping her members become the W.O.R.D. Made Flesh, to be Worshipful, Obedient, Relational, Disciple-Makers.

Because of the students that pass through Harding, and the team’s we’re connected with around the world, we believe that Downtown sits at the crossroads of the world. As a result, we have the unique opportunity to serve other churches and foster collaboration among the churches of Christ, working to create a stronger, more vibrant future for our brotherhood.
